How to cut and paste in Mac book

How to cut and paste in Mac book -

I have recently moved from Window to Mac OS platform and struggling with daily small tasks, so thought to make a list for daily tricks I'm learning so it will be helpful for other users as well.

To use the cut-paste function on Macbook -

  1. Copy the file or folder using the usual Command + C
  2. When pasting, use the Command + Option + V instead of Command + V.
This will move the file/folder instead of creating a copy.
